Mr. Villasana is Of Counsel to the firm. His experience includes complex commercial litigation, as well as contract, intellectual property, real estate, and corporate governance matters. His background includes substantial eDiscovery management experience, including discovery plan development, reviewer management, and quality control.
Prior to joining Izower Lefton LLP, Mr. Villasana was an associate at nationally ranked firms Stroock & Stroock & Lavan and Lowenstein Sandler PC, where he specialized in antitrust, securities, consumer fraud and other complex commercial matters. In addition, Mr. Villasana was also a Legal Analyst and Editor of the Bloomberg Antitrust Law Report at Bloomberg Finance LP for five years.
In addition to his litigation practice, Mr. Villasana develops compliance and risk-management training courses and materials for financial and insurance firms, covering topics that include anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing, bribery and corruption, market abuse, fraud prevention, and global competition law.
Mr. Villasana is a graduate of Rutgers University and Fordham University School of Law, where he was the Captain of the National Moot Court Competition Team and a member of the Environmental Law Review.
